Summer has come to a close and we enter one of my favorite seasons.  I love fall and the change it represents.  I am ready to trade in hot humid days for cooler weather, trips to the beach for a visit to a local apple orchard, cookouts for tailgates and sandals for suede boots.

It is also the time to dig through our closets and get excited about the latest fall fashion trends!

This month’s newsletter is dedicated to exploring fashion trends for fall, which we detail in the “Design Industry Spotlight” section of the newsletter.  In “Kim’s Pearls”, we focus on the ways the fashion and interior design industries often parallel each other.  The change of season is evident in the worlds of fashion and interior design alike. Trade magazines for both industries are full of new and exciting trends, colors and inspirations for the season.  And while the fashion runways are busy introducing the latest designer lines, we at SCL are busy preparing to attend the October furniture market.  There we will see the latest introductions and trends in the home furnishings.

Maybe I should pack a new outfit for that…
