Our SCL team was pleased to attend the first annual Washington Design Center Market Day a few weeks ago.  The whole event was a treat, but the highlight was hearing designer Thomas O’Brien speak about the business of interior design and what drives him.  He was a terrific speaker and shared many insights about “art, beauty and nature and pairing them”.  He is deeply inspired by the balance of old and new, which he speaks to in his new book American Modern.  It is a beautiful book and we were happy to each come home with a signed copy.
